The same bloom two days later. As you can see, it seems to change a fair amount, but is still a very lovely rose. In my garden, awaiting planting. 13th June 2017.

28th September 2017. Aswell as the extra autumn flowers, this hip has formed from a cross I made earlier in the year (there is also one O.P. hip). This rose isn't known for having any descendants, so again, is this indicative of being misidentified, or a fluke for 2017? Or if it is the real George IV, is it just that nobody has ever really tried to use it as a seed parent before? I got 8 fertile seeds from this hip, so we shall see what happens!

A beautiful rose with a beautiful scent. A lovely "red-ish" rose. Near Alcester. 11th June 2017.

28th September 2017: A flower in the autumn - a little beauty about 2 inches across, but encapsulating all that is wonderful in a rose. This rose is supposedly once flowering, but this and around 6 other buds have formed in September and are flowering into October. Is this a fluke due to the weather conditions this year, or is it indicative of this rose not being named correctly? Only time, over the next few years, will tell......

What amazing colours this rose has in it's make up. The camera hasn't quite got the colour right though. In my garden, awaiting planting. 17th June 2017.
