Bushy, upright.  Wrinkled (rugose) foliage.

Growing:
USDA zone 3a through 9b.  Can be used for hedge.  Hardy.  drought resistant.  produces decorative hips.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.

The Swedish Rose Society recommends Schneezwerg for northern Sweden.
The parentage as reported by Wilhelm Kordes based on oral information from Peter Lambert. The seed parent was a white Polyantha. The parentage R. rugosa x R. bracteata is deemed incorrect.

Many small scarlet hips.
