'79-04-05' rose Description

Bloom:
Rose-pink, deep pink reverse, deep pink streaks. Mild to strong, old rose, tea fragrance. 50 to 75 petals. Average diameter 3.5". Medium, very full (41+ petals), in small clusters, old-fashioned bloom form. Moderate, blooms in flushes throughout the season. Small, ovoid buds.
Habit:
Tall, arching, climbing. Medium, semi-glossy, dark green foliage.
Height: 4' (120cm). Width: 5' (150cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer. Can be used for specimen. Vigorous. can be grown as a shrub. can be trained as a climber. flowers drop off cleanly. heat tolerant. suitable for a pillar.
Breeder's notes:
Currently being evaluated for garden merit. It appears to prefer a warmer, drier climate than mine so I have sent plants out for testing in regions where climate is likely to favor better growth. This is a sibling of a yellow seedling listed here: 79-04-08
