Origin:
Discovered by Jean-Pierre Vibert (France, 1848).
Class:
Damask Perpetual, Portland.  
Bloom:
Crimson, violet shading.  Average diameter 3.25".  Medium to large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Listed as china and hybrid bourbon/hybrid perpetual(portland with similar descriptions. Possibly two different cultivars.
'Dembrowski' currently in gardens and commerce does not confirm to the original descriptions and is mislabeled.
