Origin:
Bred by Samuel Darragh (1932-2019) McGredy IV (1978).
Introduced in New Zealand by McGredy Roses International (New Zealand) as 'Solitaire'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Yellow, pink edges, yellow reverse.  Smaller in summer.  Strong, opinions vary fragrance.  25 petals.  Large, double (17-25 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Medium, semi-glossy, dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 3' to 7' (90 to 215cm).  Width: up to 3' (up to 90cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower, exhibition or garden.  Vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
