Origin:
Bred by Charles Mallerin (France, before 1951).
Introduced in France by EFR (Editions Françaises des Roses) in 1953 as 'Danse du Feu'.
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. in 1956 as 'Spectacular'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1959 as 'Danse du Feu'.
Class:
Found Rose, Climber, Floribunda, Cl., Large-Flowered Climber.  
Bloom:
Scarlet to geranium-red.  Orange-scarlet, vermilion. Scarlet, ageing to crimson-purple.  Mild to strong fragrance.  23 to 35 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, climbing.  Glossy, bronze-green foliage.  

Height: 7' to 12' (215 to 365cm).  Width: 6½' to 8' (200 to 245cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Shade tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot .
