To those in Toronto, Loblaws and Supercenter suppermarket are selling Sterling silver in 3 gallon pots for $14.99 in bud, some already showing colour. Get them while you can! Got one just this afternoon and will probably get another if I find one in good shape.

The Home Depot is currently carrying this rose in a 2 gallon size for 17.99 (or less on sale/markdown) from Clinton growers. I picked up two today already in bud. Mine were hiding toward the middle of the table with Tropicana and Fragrant Clouds blooming and hiding them.

The Plant Patent is 1433, and not 1423.

http://www.google.com/patents?id=Wj1yAAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4&dq=pp1433

says a rose simimilar to Morning Mist (PP999), which is a another mauve HT of her creation x Peace

PP999 is: http://www.google.com/patents?id=OSJyAAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4&dq=pp999

which is, I guess, an OP of her own seedling.

This is important because we may never know the origin of one of the main sources of silvery mauve in modern roses.

I would like to use the sterling silver rose in my wedding. Will this flower live through shipping and the wedding day?

Found this question many months after you posted it. In case you haven't received an answer: I would call J/P since I believe this is one of their roses, no longer featured. I wouldn't chose this particular rose, since there are other lavender roses that fare better, at least in my past experience. Has your wedding day come and gone? If so, congratulations.

YEs,
Don't call J&P for goodness sake, CAll your Florist, Sterling Silver is STILL a very popular Florist rose and is extremely popular for briadal flowers. They can get them shipped out the day before the wedding and they will look perfect.
