Origin:
Bred by Ralph S. Moore (United States, before 1978).
Introduced in Australia by Roy H. Rumsey Pty. Ltd. in 1981 as 'Strawberry Swirl'.
Class:
Miniature, Moss.  
Bloom:
Red, white streaks, stripes, flecks.  Mild fragrance.  30 to 35 petals.  Average diameter 1.5".  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Mossed buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, compact, spreading, well-branched.  Small, semi-glossy, medium green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 18" to 2' (45 to 60cm).  Width: 2' (60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden.  Hardy.  vigorous.  Can be pruned to maintain a shorter habit.

Ralph Moore says the parentage is 'Fairy Moss' x an unnamed seedling. as well as 'Little Darling' x Seedling #33. At least one other reference says 'Little Darling' x a Miniature seedling.
