Peter Harkness. An Update on Persica Hybrids.
Alissar; Princess of Phoenicia (HARsidon). The semi-double flowers are at first cream with red at the base of each petal, and as the petals expand the blooms deepen to reddish rose pink with burnished centres. The plant makes a handsome, leafy, open-branched shrub to 120 x 80cm (4 x 2 ft), and the delightful blooms bring to mind the fluttering of 14 butterflies. Parentage: 'The Times' x ['Dublin Bay' x (R.
