Per Dr. David Zlesak Minneapolis, MN 6-20-19

"Our lows this past winter here got to -33F, which is a zone 3 winter and 'Miracle on the Hudson' is coming back well from the base at various places in the Twin Cities where it is planted and rebuilding like 'Champlain' and other Ag Canada crown hardy roses rated as zone 3. It'll be great to get more data in, but my intuition is that it would be safe to say it can conservatively be called a zone 3b (maybe 3a too) crown hardy shrub rose. :0). It is a healthier alternative to 'Champlain' for a compact red, although the look is a bit different based on flower form and shade of red"
