Introduced in New Zealand by Buckingham Nurseries (NZ) in 1985 as 'Te Awamutu Centennial'.
Introduced in Australia by The Rose Garden Pty. Ltd., Walter Duncan Roses in 1998 as 'Big John'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
White, red edges.  Cream white, edged cerise.  None to mild fragrance.  35 petals.  Full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters, ruffled bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, climbing.  Glossy, dark green foliage.  

Height: 5'7" to 7¼' (170 to 220cm).  
Growing:
Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower or garden.  Flowers drop off cleanly.
