Origin:
Bred by Reimer Kordes (1922-1997) (Germany, 1972).
Introduced in Canada by Palatine Roses as 'Typhoon Spray Freelander'.
Introduced in Australia by Roy H. Rumsey Pty. Ltd. in 1974 as 'Taifun'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.   (Series: Freelander® Collection)  
Bloom:
Yellow and orange, red edges.  Strong fragrance.  35 petals.  Medium, semi-double to double bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  

Height: 4' to 5' (120 to 150cm).  Width: 2' (60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 9b.  Can be used for cut flower or garden.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
