Origin:

Bred by Samuel Darragh (1932-2019) McGredy IV (1957).
Introduced in France by NIRP International in 1964 as 'Violet Carson'.
Introduced in United Kingdom by Samuel McGredy and Son, Nurserymen (Northern Ireland) in 1964 as 'Violet Carson'.
Introduced by Unknown (Australia) in 1965 as 'Violet Carson'.

Class:

Floribunda.

Bloom:

Peach - pink, silver(y) reverse. Soft salmon with soft lemon reverse. Mild fragrance. 30 to 35 petals. Small to medium, full (26-40 petals), in large clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Bushy, compact, few or no prickles/thorns, upright. Glossy, dark green foliage.

Height: 2' to 3' (60 to 90cm). Width: up to 2' (up to 60cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b and warmer. Rain tolerant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
