Moved this rose in the middle of winter 2014 from the Central California coast to Reno, NV. She handled the shock in winter temperatures just fine. She received no winter protection and temps often dropped to 15 - 20 degrees F on a regular basis. I just kept the soil from drying.
As of June 8, 2014, she is doing great in a two gallon nursery pot. Temps have run into the low 90's (*F) and extremely low humidity at about 15% most days and nights. It has remained very disease resistant...no rust, BS or mildew.

I received cutting of this rose in January 2013. I have two copies of Ice Cube that are now in two gallon cans and are doing well. The climate where I live is mild with temperatures rarely getting above 85*F (29* C)and rarely below 32* F (0*C). We get very damp Pacific Ocean winds and often foggy evenings and nights.
The foliage has remained clean with no indications disease. I have a few roses that are next to it, also in pots, that have some rust, mildew and BS, so this rose is showing excellent disease resistance.
It flowers continuously in clusters and the petals fall off clean. As the flower ages the petals develop small dark, pink spots. I think that adds to this rose. The size right now (Sept. 2013) is about 12 inches tall and wide, but I assume that will change once I get them in the ground.
I have not tried to do any breeding with IC, but will give it a try in 2014 as both pollen and seed parent.
All in all, I think Kim Rupert has a winner here.
