Bred by Henri & Giraud Pradel (père & fils) (France, 1853).
Class:
Bourbon.  
Bloom:
Tender pink, dotted with red, aging to pink.  Large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  
Growing:
Vigorous.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Parentage:

Notes:
One writer mentions that the rose had sarmentose canes, but since no references say it is a climber (or grimpant, it may just mean it could be trained as a climber.

The earliest reference listed gives the name as 'Gabriel Marfan', but later references call the rose 'Gabrielle Morfan'; there are records for both surnames in 19th century France, so either might be correct (see References).
