Bred by Irena Fabjan (Slovenia, 2015).

Shrub.  

Yellow -pink blend, salmon-pink center, streaks, stripes, flecks.  Mild to strong fragrance.  60 petals.  Average diameter 3.5".  Medium, very full (41+ petals), in small clusters bloom form.  Moderate, continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.  Medium buds.  

Tall, arching, armed with thorns / prickles.  Medium, glossy, medium green foliage.  

Height: 39" to 6'7" (100 to 200cm).  

Can be used for garden, landscape, pillar or shrub.  Vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  

The name for this exact seedling, has popped in my head whilst walking up the stairs to the strand where it grows. I was thinking about the name for the seedling next to it, but then I got an intuitive idea for this - Proteus.
Then I looked up some images of the olm (Proteus Anguinus), a very rare animal known to live in the Slovenian Postojna cave, I realised that it was a mixture of both the colours in a smokier version. That was when I realised that was it.

The olm (Proteus anguinus) also known as the human fish, the baby dragon, and, in Slovenian, "močeril"
is a symbol of Slovenian natural heritage.
