Origin:
Bred by Emmanuel-Maxime aka Paul Buatois (France, before 1939).
Introduced in France by Maison Emmanuel Buatois in 1953 as 'Denise Buatois'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Cl..  
Bloom:
Orange-red, ages to carmine-red .   (Rouge de Carthame passant au carmin de cochenille).  Strong fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, ruffled bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Climbing, few or no prickles/thorns.  

Height: up to 6'7" (up to 200cm).
