Arvid`s garden Lista southwestern coast of Norway June 2008. This is probably the best known, most popular and most planted hybrid rugosa in Norway - in public parks and areas as well as in private gardens - and rightfully so. With its continuous repeat flowering, heavily scented flowers, vigorous and bushy growth, decorative and useful hips and beautiful autumn colours it will never let you down. I have heard some say that they find the flowers a bit vulgar. Well, be that as it may, I am not at all ashamed to say that this is one of my top favourite roses. It is planted at a corner of my house , and I always have to make a stop when I pass it on my way to my patio or further into the garden, to smell the flowers, and once again on my way back; something in which I take great pleasure.
