The habit of growth is free and branching, and the blooms are produced in abundance. It is a good garden and bedding variety. The colour of the blooms and its strong red foliage make a fine combination. It has a fruity perfume. It requires moderate pruning the third week in March, leaving two to three eyes on each shoot. Its faults are liability to Black Spot and mildew. These may be kept in check by spraying.
