Would you like a plant next spring? I just finished an article for the upcoming newsletter and saw your great photos of Mermaid. How is it doing for you up in Virginia?

Stephen, I would LOVE to have your rose in my garden!!!! Thank you very much for your kind offer.

I am planning on getting rid of my Mermaid - first of all, each Spring I have lots of dieback, secondly, the rose is a true monster. I love the flowers, though.
I find Happenstance to be a much better alternative in my yard.

I enjoy Happenstance as well. I'm guessing Mermaid will have less trouble with dieback down here. I'm still looking for a spot where it can do its thing without concern about size.

I will get with you in the spring about sending a plant of the seedling. Thanks once again for your wonderful contribution of photos for the newsletter.
