For those who love purple-y reds and have dry heat that usually fries blooms... Falstaff is quite the stud! The petals are so thick like cardboard they seem to be impervious to the heat. Today it was 90 in the shade here. 120 on the stone paved porch. 100+ in the sun. There is not one fried bloom or bud on all 3 of my Falstaffs! This one gets the most sun... roasting sun all day until about 5pm.
