Blooms can be solitary or come in clusters. This is a typical inflorescence - three blooms emerging from the same node with another just below.
Buds open to a bloom with a shallow cup form but this is a very brief affair. The blooms shatter quickly and there is often a carpet of crimson petals beneath the bush.
Such a busy plant, new buds forming and opening each day.
Petal reverses appear lighter. In some light the petal reverses appear whitish, in other light the petal reverses have an oily or lacquer-like lustre.
