There are 5,000 roses in this garden
250 old & species roses make up the Heritage border which is 400 metres in length
50 beds of Australian Bred Roses introduced in the last 100 years
The garden is managed by Parks Victoria
Maintained by the Victoria State Rose Garden Supporters Group , a volunteer group
This Rose Garden received a "GARDEN OF EXCELLENCE AWARD' from the World Federation of Rose Societies in 2003
