Acidalie (pillar)... Rousseau, 1838, very vigorous. White, large, full; for walls or pillars.

Adrian Reverchon (Polyantha)... Lambert, 1910, very vigorous. Dark carmine rose with large white centre. Flowers in clusters, single. (Perpetual flowering Leuchstern [sic]).

No pruning necessary except to remove the past season's flower stems.
Aennchen Muller... Schmidt, 1907, dwarf. Brilliant rose, very lovely, fine.

Aimee Vibert (Noisette)... Vibert, 1828, very vigorous. Pure white, in large clusters, small; hardy.

Wichuraiana and its Hybrids.
The varieties comprising this class are of unique and charming beauty, and form lovely objects in the garden while in bloom. They are suitable for rockery, sloping banks, pillars, pergolas, arches, &c. They are very lovely grown as standards.
Weeping Standards, 4 to 5 feet, 5/- each; 5 to 6 feet, 7/6 to 10/6 each; 6 feet and over, 10/6 to 15/- each.
Alberic Barbier... Barbier, 1900, very vigorous. Creamy-white and canary-yellow in the middle; buds of a darker yellow colour; semi-double, flowers in clusters.

Tea-scented Roses.
Alex. Hill Gray... Alex. Dickson & Sons, Ltd., 1911, vigorous. Deep lemon yellow which intensifies as the blooms develop, large, great substance, perfect formation, superb in every respect, and valuable for any purpose. Strongly tea-perfumed. Gold Medal N.R.S.

Single Roses.
In our Nurseries there are no more attractive objects than the Irish single varieties, and they are so marvellously free flowering that it is impossible to say too much in their praise. During the entire growing season they are virtually always in bloom, and their lasting properties are most surprising.
Alexandra Zarifi... Paul & Son, 1910, vigorous. Vivid terra-cotta, changing to pale clear buff, the points of the petals softly tipped with rose.
