Samourai (Meilland) An excellent flower of 38 petals and four inches across.  The attractive dark red flowers are "showy" and they open to a lighter tone - a display rose and is very healthy in every way. This is the variety which has this year won an A.A.R.S. award as 'Scarlet Knight' as a "Grandiflora" although the raiser lists it with their Hybrid Teas.  It did not cluster in the first year.
