Bred by Mathias Tantau, Jr. (1912 - 2006) (Germany, before 1956).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1958 as 'Paprika'.
Introduced in United Kingdom by Wheatcroft Brothers Ltd. in 1959 as 'Paprika'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1960 as 'Paprika'.
Class:
Floribunda, Polyantha.  
Bloom:
Geranium-red, purple center.  Brick red.  Mild fragrance.  Average diameter 3.5".  Semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, spreading.  Glossy, dark green foliage.  

Height: 20" to 2' (50 to 60cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
