Bred by Moreau-Robert (France, 1883).
Introduced in France by Moreau-Robert in 1889 as 'La France de '89'.
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1892 as 'La France de '89'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Rosy red, sometimes with white stripes.  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, very double, cupped, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, climbing.  

Height: up to 4'11" (up to 150cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
