Notes:
This rose is attributed to Prévost by Boîtard, but Prévost himself does not list it as his own. It is very probably an older cultivar. 'Roi de Rome' as a synonym of 'Nouveau Triomphe' as mentioned by Boitard and others, is based on a statement of Prévost, who was actually listing mislabeled roses he had received.
Napoléon François Charles Joseph Napoléon (1811-1832), son of Napoléon, was proclaimed "Roi de Rome" at his birth, was shortly (1814-1815) French emperor Napoléon II, and became Duc de Reichstadt from 1818 onwards.
Identical to 'Blush Provence'?
