Origin:
Bred by G. Delbard (France, 1986).
Class:
Hybrid Tea / Large-Flowered.  
Bloom:
Red blend, white reverse.  Mild fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, exhibition, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright, well-branched.  Medium, matte, medium green foliage.  
Height of 31" to 39" (80 to 100 cm).  Width of 20" to 2' (50 to 60 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Used for beds and borders, cut flower, exhibition or garden.  Protect tender new spring growth from hard freezes that may cause canker, die-back and death of the plant. .  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood..

Chateau de Versailles was removed from the Auckland Regional Botanic Gardens (ARBG) Display Trial because its PVR was not renewed.
