Introduced in France by Rousseau in 1834.

Bloom:
Light pink.  Mild fragrance.  35 petals.  Average diameter 3".  Medium, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Fragrant, rounded buds.  
Habit:
Lax, suckers on its own roots.  3 to 5 leaflets.  
Height of up to 3' (up to 90 cm).  Width of up to 2' (up to 60 cm).
