Origin:
Bred by Francis Meilland (1912-1958) (France, before 1941).
Introduced in France by Meilland et Cie in 1941 as 'Jeune France'.
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 1945 as 'Jeune France'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1952 as 'Jeune France'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Light pink, orange undertones, silver(y) edges.  Strong fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Upright.  Dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
