Bred by Wilhelm J.H. Kordes II (1891-1976) (Germany, 1935).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1937 as 'Louis Rödiger'.

Bloom:
Orange blend.  Strong, fruity fragrance.  Very large, semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Climbing.  Glossy, dense, wrinkled (rugose) foliage.

USDA zone 5b through 8b.  Very hardy.  very vigorous.
