Discovered by Hermann Zabel (Germany, before 1895).
Class:
Species Cross.  
Bloom:
Rose-pink.  Strong fragrance.  Average diameter 2".  Medium, single (4-8 petals), in small clusters bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  Rounded buds.  
Habit:
Short, bushy, dense, few or no prickles/thorns, well-branched.  Glossy, light green, attractive fall color foliage.  

Height: 39" to 4'11" (100 to 150cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Produces decorative hips.

Notes:
Fruit and flowers concurrent.
