Bred by Lynn M. Collicutt (Canada, 1984).
Introduced in Canada by Agriculture Canada, Morden, Manitoba in 1995 as 'Hope for Humanity'.

Bloom:
Dark red, purple shading.  Burgundy.  Mild fragrance.  15 to 25 petals.  Average diameter 2".  Medium, double (17-25 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Tall, climbing, compact, narrow, upright.  Semi-glossy, light green foliage.  

Height: 5' to 7' (150 to 215cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 3b and warmer.  Can be used for pillar.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.
