Bred by Howard & Smith (United States, 1923).
Introduced in United States by Henry A. Dreer Archive in 1923 as 'Mary Pickford'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1926 as 'Mary Pickford'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Light yellow, darker center.  Strong fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
