In 1956 I was 16 years old. I grafted the first cutting of Little Darling received by H.M. Eddie & Sons. The grafting season was over and school had started. I did the grafting in Sept of 56 or 57 to about 1000 plants. i still have (1) rose bush growing near my home. I still consider this rose to be somewhat mine because I had to do the grafting alone in the evenings. H. M. Eddie and Sons was located in Richmond, B. C., Canada

This rose is vigorous and prolific. It grows pretty low to the ground but it is quite bushy! It's a very good container rose since the canes are slender and drape over the sides of the container. In my area (San Diego) it is quite susceptible to mildew, though seems resistant to rust and insects.

This rose is not small but can grow to 4 feet tall. The bush is tall and narrow and has lots of flowers. I think you will find it bare at the base. However you could prune it back hard every year by 50% to make it grow wider.
