Deep pink. Strong, fruity fragrance. up to 50 petals. Average diameter 6". Very large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Height of 31" to 39" (80 to 100 cm).
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for cut flower, garden or shrub. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
Tim Clapp of Mattocks Roses says, "Probably the most fragrant of all roses 'Buxom Beauty' is brand new this year and I just cannot rave enough about it. The flowers are enormous and the scent even challenges 'Fragrant Cloud'. The added benefit is it has very good disease resistance for a Hybrid Tea.
In Comments the parentage is said to be Seedling x Lady Like. The 'Lady Like' is probably the 1989 Tantau rose TANekily.
