Bred by Fran├žois Lacharme (France, 1878).

Bloom:
Pink to red, salmon-pink shading.  Variable, sometimes light pink to white.  None to mild fragrance.  Large, very full (41+ petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Height of up to 7' (up to 215 cm).  Width of up to 7' (up to 215 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 11.  
Notes:
'Madame Lambard' in commerce is not as in early descriptions.
Pierre Guillot states that 'Madame Lambard' is a descendant of 'Safrano'.- see References.
