Pink. [Deep pink.]  Small, single (4-8 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Short, bristly , sends out runners.  Matte, light green, dark green foliage.  5 to 9 leaflets.  

Height: 4" to 31" (10 to 80cm).  Width: 4' (120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Drought resistant.

Notes:
Native to the southern Sierra Nevada at mid-altitudes and to the southern Cascades. Formerly considered the inland and mountain form of Rosa pinetorum, which is now used for the species confined to a very small, endangered range on the central coast of California.

Other names that are considered synonyms of Rosa bridgesii are: Rosa calvaria Greene and Rosa crenulata Greene. Possible synonyms are Rosa covillei, R. yainacensis, and R. myriadenia.
