Some  psychologist might do worse than transfer his attention from sex, and enquire into the healing properties of flowers in the home. I am sure they soothe man's spirit, and quietly direct his mind to the betterment of life. What influence might they exert upon  children? It is not just for gaudy gardens that we rose growers practise our profession.
Much as I admire the meticulous lines and cunning marriages of colour achieved by expert flower arrangers, I prefer the flowers in my house io be arranged without art, as if a little bit of nature had jumped off its bush and into the vase without pausing to dress itself. Roses can easily satisfy both the floral expert and myself and `Pascali' is one of the best to do this. It is a slim and graceful white rose, with a lovely cone for its heart, which it holds in good shape longer than most. It was raised by Louis Lens of Wavre-Notre-Dame, Belgium from  'Queen  Elizabeth' x 'White Butterfly', and introduced in 1963.
