Class:
Hybrid Banksia, Hybrid Californica, Hybrid Clinophylla, Hybrid Sempervirens, Hybrid Wichurana.

Light pink. Mild to strong fragrance. Average diameter 4". Medium-large, double (17-25 petals), flat bloom form. Moderate, blooms in flushes throughout the season. Medium buds.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
Breeder's notes:
This is the first recorded cross involving Rosa banksia and Rosa clinophylla. The cross represents a potentially major step in the development of new evergreen cultivars for use in warm Winter climates.
Other species genomes present in significant amounts include Rosa californica, Rosa sempervirens and Rosa wichurana.
According to recent research Silver Moon is not a descendant of R. laevigata. I suspect it is a selfed seedling of R. wichurana x Devoniensis.

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
First germination 1-2-07 from chilled seed sown 11-3-06. First blossom 4-1-07.
Seedling #1 culled October 2009 due to propensity to Powdery Mildew.
