Bred by Dr. Felicitas Svejda (Canada, 1981).
Introduced in Canada by Agriculture Canada L'Assomption Quebec in 1995 as 'Quadra'.

Bloom:
Dark red, lighter reverse, ages to lighter .  None to mild fragrance.  66 petals.  Average diameter 3.25".  Borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, flat, quartered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Climbing, spreading.  Glossy, dark green, edged purple-red, leathery foliage.  

Height: 5'11" to 8' (180 to 245cm).  Width: 39" (100cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower, garden, landscape or pillar.  Very hardy.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.
