This rose grows really well in my Zone 4b garden in northern Michigan, where true climbers are hard to come by. I have it a the foot of an old apple, and have trained it up into the branches, where it blooms lavishly every year on canes at least ten feet long, often longer. There is occasional winter die-back, but not much. The fragrance scents the whole garden when this rose blooms. I love it.
