The new Rosa hybrida variety of shrub rose plant of the present invention was selected during 1987 following artificial pollination carried out in 1984 at the Central Experimental Farm, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The female parent (i.e., the seed parent) was an unnamed line designated `L83` (non-patented in the United States) and the male parent (i.e., the pollen parent) was an unnamed line designated `A72` (non-patented in the United States).
Ploidy:
Tetraploid
Notes:
Corn Hill Nursery says this is a very vigorous pillar rose with long arching canes and can be used as a climber. Large clusters of single flowers change from red to deepest pink with a white center. It is similar to 'American Pillar' but much hardier and continuous blooming. It is also very disease resistant...
