Bred by Alexandre Bernaix (France, 1898).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in before 1921 as 'Souvenir de Madame Léonie Viennot'.

Bloom:
Pink, silver(y) reverse, yellow shading.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Climbing, upright.  
Height of 10' to 12' (305 to 365 cm).  Width of 8' (245 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Very vigorous.  
Notes:
Meg Peterson says this rose will do well in a partially shaded location.
