Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1936 as 'Bertha Gorst'.

Bloom:
Crimson - cherry-red, golden-yellow undertones, copper veining.  Strong fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  Bronze-green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.
