Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1926 as 'Climbing Madame Butterfly'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1927 as 'Madame Butterfly, Cl.'.

Apricot - pink, golden-yellow shading, copper center.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
