Bred by Claude Ducher (1820-1874) (France, 1866).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1873 as 'Monsieur Plaisançon'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Dark carmine.  Large, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
Vigorous.
