Origin:
Bred by Charles Mallerin (France, 1927).
Introduced in France by Henri Guillot in 1930 as 'National Flower Guild'.
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 1930 as 'National Flower Guild'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1933 as 'National Flower Guild'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Scarlet - crimson.  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Arching, bushy, few or no prickles/thorns.  Large, dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower or garden.  Very vigorous.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
