Origin:
Bred by Mathias Leenders (1883 - 1958) (Netherlands, before 1931).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1934 as 'President Macia'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Light pink to salmon-pink, darker veining, buff undertones.  Delicate shell pink with deeper reverse, Fern fragrance.  Strong, moss or woody fragrance.  25 to 30 petals.  Average diameter 6".  Very large, very double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, classic hybrid tea bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large buds.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Glossy, dark green foliage.  

Height: 20" to 2' (50 to 60cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
The 1935 and 1936 references say this rose has red wood.
